Participants will have the opportunity to witness one of the Caribbean’s most remarkable natural events—nesting leatherback turtles on Grande Riviere beach (seasonal)—and to search for the critically endangered Trinidad Piping-Guan (Pawi) in nearby forested slopes. Itinerary Highlights
- July 21 – Day 1: Transfer and Coastal Wildlife Experience
Arrive in Trinidad and transfer to Mt. Plaisir Estate Hotel, with birding stops along the way. In the evening, join a guided excursion to observe nesting leatherback turtles (seasonal), one of the island’s most iconic wildlife experiences. - July 22 – Day 2: Endemic Birding and Conference Transfer
Early morning excursion to search for the critically endangered Trinidad Piping-Guan (Pawi) in nearby forest habitats. Afterwards, depart and transfer to the conference venue.
