Overview
Designed for participants seeking a focused and immersive birding experience, this trip explores two of Trinidad’s most productive ecosystems: the lush forests of the Northern Range and the expansive wetlands of Nariva Swamp. With multiple days based at a single premier location, participants can enjoy both relaxed and in-depth birding opportunities.
Centered at the world-renowned Asa Wright Nature Centre, this trip offers exceptional close-range views of hummingbirds, tanagers, and other forest species, complemented by a full-day excursion to wetlands and savannah habitats rich in raptors, waterbirds, and grassland specialists. It’s an ideal option for those looking to deepen their birding experience in a short time.
Designed exclusively for conference participants, this trip offers excellent value for a fully guided, multi-day birding experience.
Accommodation
Stay at Asa Wright Nature Centre for three nights, set within a 1,500-acre protected forest in the Northern Range. The Centre offers comfortable accommodations, well-maintained trails, and outstanding birdwatching right from the lodge’s famous veranda.
